Why I started this…

My name is KB Hallmark V, I am a current Firefighter/Lic. Paramedic with Sand Hills VFD. I have been with the department, as my mother says, since I was born. I was officially made a line firefighter in 2018, at the age of 18. Since then I currently still volunteer with Sand Hills, and now am a commissioned firefighter with Seguin FD. I always was fascinated with the history of the department as well as the history of firefighting in Guadalupe County. After recently finding some old records of fires from the early 2000s and before, it was suggested to me that I document all of the interesting fires and rescues that the department has had since its inception.
